Bamso, or the Art of Dreams, is a fundamental part of Boabom, a system of meditation, relaxation, self-healing, and self-defense with roots in pre-Buddhist Tibet. A unique Art of movement and meditation, Boabom preserves its traditions of progressive teaching, creating a continuum of new movements that develop defense in combination with imagination, foster energy and balance, and transmit positive vitality.
In ths talk Asanaro, author of Bamso: The Art of Dreams, and teacher of Boabom with over thirty years’ experience, will give an introduction to lucid dreaming and astral projection. Asanaro will discuss basic fundamentals of dreaming, as well as the links, through relaxation and movement, between Boabom and attaining consciousness in dreams. In addition to this, he will also teach basic breathing and meditation techniques designed to aid in astral projection, as well as answer questions about Bamso and Boabom.
Asanaro is the author of The Secret Art of Seamm-Jasani, translated into seven languages, The Secret Art of Boabom, both available from Tarcher/Penguin, as well as other works, including The Legend of the Mmulmmat. He has dedicated his life to the study and transmission of the arts of Boabom and Seamm-Jasani, and currently teaches around the world. With his students, he has created a school devoted exclusively to these arts in Boston, and with them is currently developing a similar school in New York.
Bamso: the Art of Dreams will be available from Tarcher/Penguin on December 10th, 2009.
